New Archaic picks up many people along the way, however our current resident geniuses are:
Adam Goodchild - Artistic Director
Adam Goodchild, pictured here in thoughtful repose (we had just asked him
what he wanted for breakfast) specialises in directing. His directing
credits include 'A Clockwork Orange' By Anthony Burgess and 'Some Things You
Need to Know Before the World Ends' By Larry Larson and Levi Lee.
Adam has also been known to turn his hand to acting and spent a period
working with one of the Uk's top Childrens touring theatre companies 'M&M
Theatrical Productions.'
He also has experience working as a Stage Manager and in writing, finishing his play 'Undisclosed' in 2006.
Adam was appointed as the companies main artistic director in 2006 after
defeating the old director in a bout of a single combat.
Educated at Staffordshire University, Adam received a BA in Drama and
Theatre Arts, twice, and once in the face..
Sam Morris - Resident Playwright
Samuel James Morris was born near Boston, in the year 1985 (Through no fault of his own). Though he has no memories from his country of birth he suspects that he may have been a professional hitman for the CIA, or possibly, a baby.
Sam graduated from Staffordshire in 2006, after finishing his play 'Hammers Sickles and Nike Ticks'.
As well as writing, Sam has a keen interest in politics. He is a member of the UK Green Party and contested the local elections of 2004 where he received 20% of the votes (Much to the chagrin of local authorities as it later turned out that at the age of 19 he wasn't legally old enough to stand). He has a particular interest in the surreal and anarchic within comedy, claiming a wide array of influences from Spike Milligan and Terry Pratchett to Samuel Beckett and Alfred Jarry.
